I'll be giving a workshop at Toronto's Contemporary Textile Studio Co-op this February 3rd & 10th. "Creating 3-D Form With Textile Techniques" will pair basketry techniques with material exploration. The emphasis will be on generating samples and not finished work. The goal is to send students home with a few new tricks and a billion new ideas.

reDesigning for the TMC

I was honoured by an invitation to contribute work to a fundraising auction for the Textile Museum of Canada. I am amongst a stellar line-up of artists and designers given the task of reinventing an iconic Eames chair. The event takes place November 7th in Toronto.  reDesigned chairs can be seen here.

Charles and Ray Eames endeavoured to “design for living” and to make beautiful things that would fulfill the needs of ordinary people.  I prepared a cheap copy of their iconic chair for "hanging".
